Committee on Standards in Public Life Publishes Paper on Local Leadership and Public Trust
The Committee on Standards in Public Life has today published their a summary of the main issues into their inquiry into Local Leadership and Public Trust: Openness and Accountability in Local and London Government.
In December 2008, the Committee on Standards in Public Life launched and inquiry into Leadership and Public Trust: Openness and Accountability in Local and London Government. That inquiry was suspended in March 2009 in order to undertake a review of MPs' expenses.
In light of subsequent developments the Committee have decided not to continue with the inquiry at the present time but has published a summary of the main issues which arose in the evidence that was received, a copy of which can be found here.
